The Ruroc Story
I know what you're thinking - this is going to be another garage start-up story, with some guy you’ve never heard of tinkering in a shed and now it's a multi-million pound company. And sure, that is how Ruroc started. But what gets left out of those clichés is the crew of hard-working, light-bulb-changing, relentlessly grafting humans who actually made Ruroc what it is today. We all built this company with real sweat, real ideas, and a lot of late nights. We’re proud of our scrappy beginnings, and even prouder of how far we’ve pushed things since.
The Snow Start-Up
Our founder was a die-hard snowboarder who looked around the slopes and realised no one cared enough about their heads (or faces!). Half-lids dominate now, but back then beanies were at the forefront and protection was an afterthought, and that just wasn’t good enough. So he went and made the world’s first modular full-face snow helmet.
The RG1 dropped in 2008, an unapologetic, revolutionary beast followed by the RG2 in 2024. And even though we now make more “conventional” lids like the LITE and LITE+, the full-face is still our ride-or-die bestseller. Designed for snow fanatics, it’s also become a cult favourite with motorsports pit crews, snowmobilers, skydivers… basically anyone who wants max protection without heft, hassle, or giving up that half-lid freedom. With riders pushing boundaries in freeride, park, off-piste and backcountry, we don’t see full-face as a trend, we see it as a necessity. And we’re all in.

Here’s the thing: we don’t do “different” just for the vibe. Sure, we love looking good, but real “helmet confidence” comes from knowing your head is protected by the best. While other brands boast rotational impact protection, we go harder: we use RHEON™, which handles rotational and linear impact.

Ruroc Motorcycle Gang
In 2019, we dropped the AT1.0, our first moto helmet. And yep, we learned a lot along the way. Growth does that to you. We didn’t arrive on the scene with a century of heritage or a museum of trophies, we arrived with a fire to do things differently. Now, check out the AT4. That shape? That silhouette? Nothing else on the market looks like it and that’s exactly how we like it.
Then came EOX: our next evolution of the moto world. Riders praised its looks, its wide field of view, its ECE 22.06, DOT, and SHARP 4-star ratings. We took everything the AT4 nailed and made it sleeker, faster, and rock-solid at speed. Landing in 2026, EOX2.0 refined the platform even further for sports-touring riders, with upgraded liner fit and luxurious touches like Merino wool. And what’s coming in 2027? Oh, we know. But no, we’re absolutely not telling you yet.

Our AT4.0 TRACK helmet is ACU Gold certified. If your track accepts ACU Gold, you're good to go. Always check organiser rules for your specific event.
